I just completed advanced diver training and our instructor allowed us to carry these as a primary light using the Intova narrow beam light, a sister to this one, as a backup. Extremely bright for the size and you don't have to lug around a huge light filled with heavy batteries! These are great lights even though they seem pricey compared to much larger lights.
